Episode 71 – Kindness as a Kids Superpower

With everything going on in the world today, it takes courage and passion to try and make this world a better place. One of those people who have gone and done such a wonderful thing is Josh Langley, author of the latest kids’ book called Being Wildly Kind: Finding the Magical Power Inside. He describes kindness as a superpower that kids already have within, and it is just such a powerful message that must be heard and embodied by children, parents, and adults all over the world now more than ever.

Josh Langley is an award-winning author and illustrator who published 9 books (4 kids’ books) and won the 2018 Australia Book Industry Awards (ABIA) Small Publishers’ Children’s Book of the Year. Josh is an engaging speaker who appears at writers’ festivals, workshops, and primary-school events. He is also a multi-award-winning radio creative writer who runs his creative agency. He tours primary schools talking to kids about self-esteem and resilience, creating inspirational content for the Children’s Book Council of Australia WA Branch and Camp Quality Children’s Cancer Charity, and is also an ambassador for The Children’s Tumour Foundation of Australia. On his chat show, ‘Josh Langley Gets to Know’, Josh talks with authors, children’s wellness specialists, and people with inspiring stories. He lives on 7.5 acres in the southwest of Western Australia where he spends a lot of time talking with flowers.

He has just released his new video course series called Here I Am! which is a wonderful soft skills masterclass to help primary school-aged kids develop emotional and mental resilience, empathy, and self-acceptance.
